About me
Kammersängerin | Soprano
Ricarda Merbeth is one of the most distinguished singers of our time. Since the late 1990s, the German soprano has been performing at the world’s leading opera houses, festivals and concert halls. Beginning with Mozart roles and the lyrical Wagner and Strauss repertoire, she gradually progressed to the dramatic roles of her voice type and is now regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of roles such as Elektra and Brünnhilde. More recently, she has also added parts including Ortrud and Kundry to her repertoire.
